About the fair

The Lost Sierra Artists & Crafters Fair is a handmade art and craft marketplace set up outdoors at Herb Rowe Memorial Park, in the middle of Graeagle up in Plumas County (event listing). You walk the booths, meet the makers, and buy from the people who made the work. It's a smaller, friendly show, the kind where you actually talk to the artist. The organizer can be reached at 530-832-1062 or [email protected].

One thing worth clearing up: this is not the larger Graeagle Arts & Crafts Fair that runs back in July. Different event, different weekend. This is the August fair at Herb Rowe Memorial Park.

Where to find our booth

Look for our tent, both days. We pop our classic kettle corn fresh on-site, big round mushroom kernels, real cane sugar, oil, and salt, stirred by hand in the kettle right there. Classic and caramel are always on, and a few of the specialty flavors ride along.

August in Graeagle gets warm, so the other half of the booth is the cold half: fresh-squeezed Lemon Shakers, shaken to order, plus iced tea and Arnold Palmers.

Our classic kettle corn is naturally gluten-free (corn, cane sugar, oil, salt). Flavored batches each have their own additional ingredients, so ask at the booth about a specific flavor. Our booths are nut-free, though we're not a certified nut-free facility.

Making a weekend of it

Graeagle sits in the Lost Sierra, so there's plenty around the fair if you're up for the day or the weekend. Mill Pond is a short hop for swimming or paddling, and Plumas-Eureka State Park has hiking, fishing, and summer history tours nearby (Plumas County). Do the fair in the cool morning, cool off at the water, swing back for a bag of kettle corn on the way out.
