Our hometown July festival

Marysville Peach Festival

The Marysville Peach Festival takes over historic downtown Marysville for two days every July, and in 2026 it ran July 17 and 18 as the 26th annual event, free to attend with free parking. Marysville is our home town, so this one is a short walk from where we load the kettles. Here's what the festival is and how to eat your way through it.

Not on our confirmed calendar

This is a guide page — we're not currently scheduled at Marysville Peach Festival. See where we are popping, or if you're involved with this event, we'd love to talk.

What the Peach Festival actually is

The City of Marysville held the first Peach Festival in 1999 to celebrate the peach, and it has run ever since on the strength of a crop that's still one of Yuba-Sutter's top ten commodities (official site). Cling, freestone, and donut peaches all get their turn.

Two days, historic downtown, and the organizers put the scale at more than 185 vendor spaces and more than thirty thousand people through the streets (official site). In 2026 it ran Friday, July 17 from 4 to 10 pm and Saturday, July 18 from 10 am to 10 pm. There are two entertainment stages with area bands, a children's area, a peach pie eating contest, and dozens of peach foods, desserts, and drinks. Dates move a little year to year, so check the organizer before you make plans.

How to eat a peach festival

The obvious move is peaches, and you should make it. Pie, cobbler, ice cream, something battered and fried that shouldn't work and does. But a two-day July festival in Marysville is hot, and after the third sweet thing most people want salt.

That's the gap kettle corn fills at a summer festival, and it's why we've built a decade of business standing behind a kettle at events like this one. Real kettle corn is popped in an open kettle with cane sugar, oil, and salt going in alongside the kernels, so the sugar caramelizes onto the corn as it pops instead of getting dusted on afterward. Sweet and salty in the same handful. It's also the rare festival food you can carry for an hour while you walk, which matters when the vendors run for blocks.

If you want the longer version of how that works, we wrote up how real kettle corn is made. And our classic is four ingredients: mushroom-kernel corn, cane sugar, oil, and salt. Corn is a gluten-free grain, so the classic is naturally gluten-free. Flavored batches each have their own additional ingredients, so ask whoever is popping. Our own booths are nut-free, though we're a mobile popper working events, not a certified nut-free facility.

Where our booths actually are

The Peach Festival isn't currently on our confirmed calendar. We run two kettles out of the Yuba-Sutter area and work fairs, festivals, markets, and school and sports events across Northern California, and our Find Us calendar is the only place we confirm where the booths will be.

Marysville is home for us, though, so we're around town plenty. Our Marysville kettle corn page has the local picture, and rodeo weekend is on the calendar: see kettle corn at the Marysville Stampede. You can also browse every event page we keep.

Putting on an event in the Yuba-Sutter area?

If you're organizing a festival, fair, market, school night, or fundraiser anywhere in Northern California and you want a real kettle popping on site, we'd like to hear about it. Two kettles, two booths, and since 2015 doing exactly this. Email [email protected] or call Adam at 530-315-8603, and see how our fundraisers work if that's the shape of it.
